Upon finishing a project
When I finish a big project, my brain decides to shut down. It’s like a body after a marathon. “Yeah, did you SEE WHAT I DID YESTERDAY? Now leave me the fuck alone for a week.”
However, I had to let a lot of things slide when I took April off to finish Ghost Train to New Orleans. Podcasting. Preliminary Torment work. Marketing for Shambling Guide to NYC. So I have to jump right into those responsibilities, not to mention that I have to continue writing, else I break my streak on the magic spreadsheet. (Yesterday was day 151.)
But the brain. It just wants to rest.

A lot of people have posted this Tumblr and I only just got to reading it. Damn me. Because this is just the creation of TWO AWESOME THINGS- fearless little girl heroes, and someone to draw them as they may have grown up to be. The Batman/Robin post is amazing (esp with the bubblegum chewing Batgirl and the black Batgirl in the pink uniform) as is the Green Lantern, but this one really spoke to me. I love the grinning girl, and then the artistic representation. Considering how women lose fat when they bodybuild, and breasts are fat, then why WOULDN’T the ballerina Hulk look like that? And keep her awesome pigtails?
Then the wilting flower of …Betina Banner? Betty Banner? Belinda Banner? I can just hear her saying, “Please stop yelling at me. You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.”
That really nailed it for me. I love this Tumblr. Someone give Alexandria Law a comic book deal.
